LADAKH WITH KARGIL – 7 Nights / 8 Days
DAY 01: ARRIVE LEH
Arrival at Leh Kushok Bakula Airport. Upon arrival you will be met by INSIGHT representative and transferred to hotel. Complete day at leisure for acclimatization followed by welcome tea/coffee. Overnight stay at hotel.
DAY 02: LEH – SHAM VALLEY (75 KMS / 4 HRS)
After breakfast drive along the Indus River visiting Gurudwara Patthar Sahib, Magnetic Hill, Confluence of Indus & Zanskar Rivers and Likir Monastery. Later check-in at Sham Valley camp/hotel. Overnight stay.
DAY 03: SHAM VALLEY – KARGIL VIA BATALIK (172 KMS / 6 HRS)
Drive to Kargil via Dha-Hanu villages, famous as the Land of Aryans. Visit Batalik war front area and continue to Kargil. Check-in at hotel/camp. Overnight stay.
DAY 04: KARGIL – LEH (VIA LAMAYURU)
Drive back to Leh visiting Mulbekh, Lamayuru Monastery and Alchi Monastery. Evening visit Leh Palace, Shanti Stupa & Leh Market. Overnight at hotel.
DAY 05: LEH – NUBRA VALLEY VIA KHARDUNG LA (120 KMS / 4–5 HRS)
Drive over Khardung La (18,390 ft), the world’s highest motorable road. Visit Hunder sand dunes and Diskit Monastery. Dinner & overnight at Nubra Valley camp/hotel.
DAY 06: NUBRA VALLEY – PANGONG LAKE (170 KMS / 7 HRS)
Drive via Agham & Shyok Valley to Pangong Lake (14,000 ft). Dinner & overnight stay near Pangong Lake.
DAY 07: PANGONG LAKE – LEH VIA CHANGLA (140 KMS / 6 HRS)
Morning at leisure. Drive back to Leh via Changla Pass visiting Thiksey Monastery, Shey Palace & Rancho School. Overnight at hotel.
DAY 08: DEPART LEH
Transfer to airport for onward journey. Tour concludes with beautiful memories.
