Mangalazodi Wetland Tour ( October to March) 7am to 6P.M.

Vehicle reports at 7 am at Arrival Station/ Hotel. Our Guide joins you on the day excursion to Mangalajodi Eco Village, a wetland of Chilika lake, famous for migratory & local birds. There is a story telling how the poachers turned to protectors of foreign birds and set example of preservation of environment & nature. On your arrival sail to have an wonderful experience to see bird from very close distance with no human made noises. After 2 to 3 hours bird safari in a country boat (Manual hand boat) return to the resort developed by villagers, have sumptuous village from a local chef using local vegetables & fresh Chilika fish. Heritage & Crafts tour at Bhubaneswar ( All Season) 6am to 4pm

Vehicle reports at 6 am at Arrival Station/ Hotel. Our representative joins you at Mukteswar Temple, starting point of the heritage walk of Bhubaneswar to see the magnificent temple architecture, lifestyle of priests and temple culture reverberate in hustle bustle locals involves in temple rituals, oblations, Grand kitchen & Devotees.

The walk takes place early morning from Mukteswar temple. The idea is to experience the gradual development of Utkalian temple articture ranging from 6th century to 13 century. The total walk stretch is ranging from 3 km to 5 km depending upon temperature & interest of the visitors. Take photographs of the streets & bazaars around the temple. Apart of tanks in each Temple premises, see the grand tank ( Bindu Sagar)- the biggest holy tank in Odisha backed by divine myth.

The trail route covers all these temples: Mukteshwar Temple, Parashurameswar Temple, Ananta Basudev Temple, Bindusagar Lake, Lingaraj Temple, Chitrakarini Temple, Sari Temple, Baitala Temple & ends at Ekamravan Herbal Garden by 9.30am followed by Breakfast.

Later drive to Kala Bhoomi to start your walk by 11.30 to explore rich handloom & Handicrafts museum trail. Kala Bhoomi connects people across the world with the Handicrafts and Handlooms of Odisha.

Since King Ashoka adopted the path of peace and tranquility and resorted to Buddhism, he laid the foundation of Dhauligiri Shanti Stupa at a place which is known for the end of Kalinga War. On the top of the hill, a dazzling white peace pagoda has been built by the Japan Buddha Sangha and the Kalinga Nippon Buddha Sangha in the 1970s. Evening 6pm in winter/ 7pm in summer enjoy the Light and sound show: The show is conducted in Odia, Hindi and English. It is a great show depicting the life and struggles of King Ashok and the Kalinga war which led to his transformation from Chandasoka to Dharamasoka. Chandaka Safari at Bhubaneswar ( October to March) 8am to 6pm

Chandaka Forest is a wildlife reserve located in the south fringe of cuttack in the Indian state of Odisha. Chandaka forest is spread over 175.79 square kilometres (67.87 sq mi) of rolling table land and small sprawling hillocks of Khurdha and Cuttack Districts. It was designated as an elephant reserve in December 1982. Here the floral diversity is distributed in six types that is- •Evergreen Forests •Moist Kangada (Xylia xylocarpa) Forests •Coastal Sal Forests (Shorea robusta) •Thorny Bamboo Brakes (Bambusa bambos) •Planted Teak •Eupatorium scrub. The main tree species are - kochila, kalicha, belo, kangada, giringa, sunari, sal, kumbhi, jamu, karanja, teak and sidha. Common medicinal plants of the sanctuary are- duramari, baidanka (Mucuna pruriens), brudhadaraka, bhuinlimbo, guduchi lata, salparni (Desmodium gangeticum), satabari, bhuin-kakharu, indrajaba, thalkudi, apamaranga, kurchi, and patalgaruda. A few species of ground orchids, ferns, club mosses, bryophytes and lichens are distributed in shady wet pockets and rock escarpments. Wild animals like Elephant is the keystone or flagship species in the forest ecosystem. Hanuman Langur, the macaque, three deer (spotted deer, barking deer, and mouse deer), wild pig, porcupine and hare form other herbivores. Among carnivores Leopard, sloth bear, hyena, wolf, fox, jackal, mongoose (common, small, ruddy). Civets (small, palm), tree shrew and Pangolins are important. The reptilian fauna include Bengal monitor, mud turtle, the Chameleon, Python, Cobra, Russels viper, Bamboo pit viper, Rat snake, Earth Boa etc. On arrival visit Watch towers while Kochilaberana, Pitagadia and Charichhak watch towers are excellent for observation of birds and animals. Visit Jhumka Dam, situated within the reserve. Later enjoy the Jungle Safari to Bharatpur Jungle with knowledgeable forest guide. After 2 hours Jungle safari transfer to Nandankanan Zoological Park- a 437-hectare (1,080-acre) zoo and botanical garden in Bhubaneswar. Established in 1960, it was opened to the public in 1979 and became the first zoo in India to join World Association of Zoos and Aquariums (WAZA) in 2009. Nandankanan is the first zoo in the World to breed White tiger and Melanistic tiger. Visiting Timing: April – September (7.30 AM to 5.30 PM), October – March (8.00 AM to 5.00 PM). Take a break with some free time to have lunch. Then, proceed to visit the Baby Taj Mahal, ( Itimad-ud-Daulah's Tomb ). This site is another architectural marvel, which is situated on the bank of Yamuna river. This is also called the Mini Taj Mahal because it has many similarities to the Taj Mahal itself including: minars, stone work called "pietra dura" and lattice work. Your guide will explain its history, carving work and architecture to you.
Visit Mehtab Bagh:
Visit Mehtab Bagh (Moonlight Garden) for an awesome romantic view of the Taj Mahal. Mahtab Bagh is located across the river Yamuna from the Taj Mahal, and is a perfect place to view the Taj Mahal without the jostling crowds. From here, one can actually sit in peace and admire the monument. Your guide will then explain the history of this beautiful garden & be dropped off at your hotel.
