Arrival at Leh Kushok Bakula Airport – one of the most sensational flights in the world. On a clear day, you may see peaks of K2, Nanga Parbat, Gasherbrum and the Nun Kun massif.
Upon arrival, meet INSIGHT representative and transfer to hotel for check-in. Complete day at rest and leisure to acclimatize, followed by welcome tea/coffee. Evening visit to Leh Palace, Shanti Stupa & Leh Market. Overnight stay at hotel.
After breakfast, drive along the Indus River on Leh–Kargil Highway. Visit Hall of Fame (Indian Army Museum), Gurudwara Patthar Sahib, Magnetic Hill and the Confluence of Indus & Zanskar Rivers near Nimmu Village. Later return to Leh. Overnight stay at hotel.
Post breakfast, drive to Nubra Valley crossing Khardung La (18,390 Ft – World’s Highest Motorable Road). Enjoy breathtaking views of the Zanskar and Saser ranges.
On arrival, check in at Camp/Hotel. Evening visit to Hunder Sand Dunes for optional Bactrian camel ride. Stop at Diskit Monastery, a 515-year-old Buddhist monastery. Dinner & Overnight stay at Nubra Valley.
After early breakfast, drive to Turtuk village near the Indo–Pak border. Experience the unique Balti culture and scenic landscapes along Shyok River. After sightseeing, drive back to Hunder. Dinner & Overnight stay at Camp/Hotel.
Post breakfast, drive to Pangong Tso via Agham & Shyok Valley. Though roads are rough in patches, the journey is extremely scenic.
Reach Pangong Lake at 14,000 ft, stretching over 133 kms with half of it lying across the Indo–China border. Dinner & Overnight stay at Camp near Pangong Lake.
Morning at leisure. Later drive back to Leh via Changla Pass (5486 Mtrs). En-route visit Thiksey Monastery, Shey Palace and 3 Idiots Rancho School. Overnight stay at hotel in Leh.
