Koraput – Ounkadeli – Duduma – Gupteswar – Jeypore (Road cum Rail Tour)

Day 01: Arrive Koraput – Lamtaput

Morning on arrival at Koraput station, transfer to hotel for fresh up. Post breakfast after relaxation visit the Jagannath Temple – Sabara Srikhetra followed by Tribal Museum. Later visit the Coffee plantation & understand the process of Coffee & Black Peppers. Post lunch drive towards Desia Eco Cottage. Enroute visit colourful market at Nandapur. Check in at the cottage backed by tribal theme. Should you wish, buy the fruits and vegetables from the market and bring to Desia to mix your own flavour in dinner and learn preparation of local cuisine from the tribal cook. Evening enjoy the bonfire followed by sumptuous dinner from local vegetation. Overnight stay at eco cottage.

Day 02: On to Ounkadeli Market & Duduma Waterfall (Thursday)

Morning post breakfast drive to Ounkadeli weekly market to experience the customs & commerce of one of the most interesting tribes, called Bonda or Remo. Especially Bonda ladies adorn with ornaments and jewelleries in the upper body and look very colourful while walking down from hilly trails to this weekly market. The Bonda tribes carry their homemade alcohol to sell in this market. You have the great opportunity to meet and interact with this community and if desired share a drink with them. On the way back visit the Duduma waterfall. Drive back to Desia and enroute enjoy the picnic lunch beside the scenic Machakund waterfall. Afternoon walk along the riverside. Evening enjoy the Dhemsa dance by the local artists along the warmth of Bonfire. Dinner & overnight stay at Desia.

Day 03: Gupteswar – Jeypore – Koraput – Departure

Today morning drive amid Ramgiri forest road towards Gupteswar Cave – popularly known as Gupta Kedra. Shabari, a rocky stream of great scenic beauty, flows beside Gupteswar. On arrival ascend to have darshan of giant Siva Linga, being worshipped in Shabari mantra. After having picnic lunch drive back to Jeypore railway station. Enroute visit Mali village & market. Board the Hirakhand express to experience the hide & seek in plethora of tunnels on the way to Koraput. On arrival you can continue your tour to Bhubaneswar or depart to your home destination.
