Dzukou Valley Trek & Hornbill Festival (7 Days / 6 Nights)

Day 1: Arrive Guwahati – Kaziranga National Park (250 Km / 05 Hrs)

On arrival Guwahati drive to Kaziranga National Park, a paradise for greater Indian one horned Rhinoceros as well as a home to Elephants, tigers, water buffaloes and many species of birds. On arrival, we will check into Hotel. Dinner at the resort and overnight stay at Kaziranga.

Day 2: Kaziranga National Park

Today early in morning explore the park by an elephant ride. Apart from the rhino, other animals that you may encounter in the safari are hog deer, swamp deer, wild water buffalos, elephants - and if you are lucky, even tiger. Kaziranga is also home to pelicans, storks and darters. Post lunch venture into western range of the park for a Jeep safari. Overnight stay at Kaziranga.

Day 3: Kaziranga National Park – Kohima (250 km / 7 hrs)

Post breakfast begin your festival tour driving to Kohima. On arrival check into hotel. Evening visit local market (If time permits). Overnight stay at Kohima.

Day 4: Kohima - Kisama Heritage Village (Hornbill Festival)

Today after breakfast visit Kisama heritage village where the famous Hornbill festival takes place. Experience the lifestyle of Naga people, their culture, traditional huts and festivals. Later explore local restaurants and trendy cafes to taste authentic Naga cuisine. Overnight stay at Kohima.

Day 5: Kohima – Vishwema – Dzukou Valley (6 Hrs)

Morning after breakfast drive towards Vishwema (24kms, 45 Minutes). From Vishwema start your trek. After 4.5 hrs trek uphill amidst mesmerizing views, reach Dzukou Rest House. Dinner and Overnight stay at Dzukou.

Day 6: Dzukou Valley – Vishwema – Kohima (5 Hrs)

Today morning after breakfast go for trekking to the picturesque Valley of Flowers. See the rare Dzukou Lily and a large variety of flora and fauna. Bath in the pristine water of the Dzukou river. Later trek back to Vishwema Village and drive to Kohima. Overnight stay at Kohima.

Day 7: Kohima – Dimapur Departure (80 km / 03 hrs)

Morning drop at Dimapur airport two hours before departure of your onward flight. Hope you got an insight into the festive tour of North East India and wish you to return back again to explore incredible India with us.
