The highly mountainous state attracts tourists, both domestic and inbound, for its high mountains, Tibetan Buddhist culture, and the peace-loving people. Darjeeling is known as the "Queen of the Hills," famous for its tea gardens and the beautiful view of the Kanchenjunga range of mountains. The Darjeeling Himalayan Railway, commonly known as the toy train, runs regularly from Siliguri to Darjeeling and has been awarded World Heritage status by UNESCO.

Day 1: Bhubaneswar - Bagdogra - Kalimpong

On arrival meet our representative at the exit gate and transfer to Kalimpong – a bustling town on the foothills of the Himalayas, sprawled along a saddle-shaped mountain ridge overlooking the Teesta river and lorded over by the summit of Khangchendzonga. Later visit Durpin Monastery, Army Golf Course, Nursery, Deolio, Hanuma Tok & Dr. Grahams Home. Evening stroll at the market. Overnight at Kalimpong.

Day 2: Kalimpong - Pelling

After breakfast start your journey alongside River Rangeet to reach Pelling (6,800 feet). Visit Rimbi Waterfalls, Rimbi Hydel Project, Khecheopalri Sacred Lake & Kanchenjunga Falls. Post lunch visit Pemayangtse Monastery and Skywalk at Sang-Ngog Choling. Evening stroll at Shopping Centre. Overnight at Pelling.

Day 3: Pelling – Namchi – Gangtok

Drive towards Gangtok with enroute visits to Ravangla Buddha Park, Temi Tea Gardens, Namchi Char Dham, Rock Garden and Temi Tea Estate. Evening free at MG Road. Overnight at Gangtok.

Day 4: Gangtok – Tsomgo Lake (Nathu La Optional)

Excursion to Tsomgo Lake & Baba Mandir. Nathula Pass optional (closed Monday & Tuesday). Overnight stay at Gangtok.

Day 5: Gangtok – Lachung

After breakfast drive towards Lachung. Visit Butterfly Waterfall, Naga Waterfall & Singhik Viewpoint. Lunch at Chungthang. Overnight at Lachung.

Day 6: Lachung – Yumthang (Zero Point Optional) – Gangtok

Visit Yumthang Valley (14,000 ft), Hot Springs, and optional Zero Point. Return to Gangtok for overnight stay.

Day 7: Gangtok – Darjeeling

Visit Flower Show, Handicraft Museum, Chorten Stupa, Institute of Tibetology & Banjhakri Waterfall. Later transfer to Darjeeling. Overnight at Darjeeling.

Day 8: Darjeeling

Early morning sunrise at Tiger Hill (9,000 ft), then Ghoom Monastery & Batasia Loop. Post breakfast visit Padmaja Naidu Zoological Park, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Tenzing & Gombu Rock, Tibetan Refugee Centre & Tea Estate. Overnight at Darjeeling.

Day 9: Darjeeling – Bagdogra – Bhubaneswar
